Robert Anderson is a lecturer in Fine Art (practice and theory) at Birmingham School of Art. He was educated at U.W.E Bristol and Ulster University, where he received his practice based PhD (2015). His doctoral research examined the tropes and epithets of ‘collapse’ and the wider taxonomic framing of their forms. More recently, he has been shortlisted for the Henry Moore Foundation BSR Fellowship in sculpture and is currently working on a number of individual and collaborative projects around the perceived decentring of Modernist and Post Modernist sculptural practices, the emergence of site specificity and the practice modes appearing to precipitate Installation Art.
